True North, the highly successful independent film production company based in Leeds has produced a series of six programmes entitled ‘Homes by the Med’ which is being shown on Channel 4 and More 4. The series is presented by Charlie Luxton, the well-known Australian architectural designer and TV presenter regularly seen on programmes ‘Building the Dream’ and ‘Homes by the Sea’.
In November 2015 True North contacted Brits living overseas using an expatriate website asking for individuals’ resident around the Mediterranean to come forward and allow their properties to be featured in the new series. Shortly after this, filming began and took place in Italy, Côte d’Azur, Costa Brava, Costa Del Sol, Mallorca, Ibiza and Crete.
Episode one has already aired and concentrated on properties on the Costa Brava with episode two featuring homes in St Tropez, overlooking Cap Ferrat and Brigitte Bardot’s former residence on the Côte d’Azur.
The Island of Mallorca will feature in episode three which is scheduled to be broadcast on Tuesday 3rd May and will undoubtedly portray some stunning properties. For further examples of stunning Mallorcan properties in the north of the Island particularly in Port de Pollença and Alcudia;
