Seeking a beachfront hotel with character rather than a bland anonymous monolith? Fed up with faceless high rise accommodation blocks? Those looking for comfort, old world charm and excellent service coupled with a stunning location, makes Puerto Pollensa’s Hotel Sis Pins the first choice for many visitors to Mallorca.
Built in 1952 on the sea front promenade overlooking Pollensa Bay and named after the long gone ‘Six Pines’, this reasonably priced British owned hotel is superbly located in the popular port at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range on the northeast coast of Mallorca, approximately 30 miles from Palma airport.
The region boasts numerous historical, cultural, gastronomic and natural attractions welcoming general tourists, hikers, cyclists, bird watchers and sun worshippers alike. The Boquer Valley is just a short walk from the hotel and La Gola Reserve and Visitors’ Centre, a magnet for birders and nature lovers, is located within Puerto Pollensa. The hotel has its own secure cycle store for guests and is particularly popular for those cycle touring or training during the mild winter months. Sis Pins is an ideal base from which to explore locally or to simply relax on the private seafront terrace and listen to the gentle rhythm of the waves as they lap across the soft white sands.
Although popular, Puerto Pollensa is less frenetic than many other resorts on the island but the restaurants and night life in the port still offer ample scope for gastronomes and night owls! Norai Pintxos and Wine Bar, Mombasa Bar and Tecun are just a few serving late into the early hours. Located so close to the centre, Sis Pins is never far from shops, bars and restaurants.
Alongside the hotel is the Cappuccino Grande Café which is open for food and drinks from 9.00am until 11.00pm daily. A complimentary breakfast, including full English (if requested) is served within the hotel itself from 7.30am until 10.30am.
All fifty one guestrooms within the hotel are air conditioned and equipped with satellite TV, a work desk, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, room safe, telephone, en suite bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Seventeen of the rooms have sea views. There is Wi-Fi in public areas and a computer and printer for guests to use in the communal lounge.
Open year round and often frequented by returning visitors, the hotel has been awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for consistently receiving great reviews from guests and is renowned for its friendly staff and excellent service.
